Manisa Civil Movement Project
This project titled "Manisa Civil Action Force in Green Transformation" is carried out under the leadership of the Manisa Association of Mold and Machinery Manufacturers (MAKİM), in partnership with Yunusemre Municipality and the Manisa Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Manisa Association of Mold and Machinery Manufacturers (MAKİM): Founded in 2015, MAKİM is an association that carries out projects on regional development and institutional capacity building in the fields of mold making and machinery manufacturing.
Project Objective
The overall objective of the project is to reduce the adverse effects of climate change and greenhouse gases on industrial enterprises in Manisa and to increase future generations’ vocational awareness regarding climate change.
Within this scope, while reducing the negative impacts of climate change and greenhouse gases on industrial enterprises, we also increase society’s knowledge and awareness in this area. By encouraging civic participation, our project aims to involve all segments of society in combating the climate crisis and to enable the emergence of innovative occupational groups in this field.
It aims to increase knowledge and awareness about innovative occupational groups that can combat the climate crisis in the Manisa region through civic participation, and to ensure that Manisa’s leading machinery, metal processing, and mold-making sectors are less affected by the adverse impacts of climate change and the EU Green Deal.
